Gxza Health
Providing free tele-health consultations, psychosocial support and medications to patients in Gaza and beyond

In 2023,
Gxza Health was born.
We wanted to help out the patients and wounded,
but didn’t know where to start. We reached out to existing non-governmental organizations and wondered if they can help us or brainstorm with us. Almost all told us it’s not the time. But it was the most needed time. We started giving care to one patient then another and another, until we now have a whole infrastructure that allows us to reach to those who need us.
What is
TeleHealth?
This is our core mission at Gxza Health. With telehealth we aim to ensure that even in the most disastrous of humanitarian crises people can get the medical and psychological care they need. Our purpose is to act as a support system to both displaced civilians and healthcare staff during the ongoing humanitarian crises in Gaza. With the collapse of healthcare infrastructure and absence of essential medical resource, we provide virtual support both medically and professionally.

What happens
when a patient reaches out?
We receive patient requests (submit a request here) for care online, and we sort them, categorize them, and assign them to the appropriate physician. We have a diverse group of doctors from different areas of medicine, medical professionals, and therapists, who are Arabic speaking. Patients are able through us to secure many of their medications for free. Our physicians prescribe the medication, and follow up with patients over whatsapp.
What are
we aiming for?
In such a short time, alhamdulillah, we grew to be the largest tele-health organization for G*za. We aim to be a support system to both displaced civilians and healthcare staff during the ongoing humanitarian crises in G*za. With the collapse of healthcare infrastructure and absence of essential medical resource, we provide virtual support both medically and professionally.
Empowering resilience, our mission at Gxza Health is to ensure that even in the most disastrous of humanitarian crises people can get the medical and psychological care they need.

Adam
10 years old – Bacterial inflammation in cornea
Adam suffers from severe bacterial inflammation in his cornea. His eyes are red, tearful, and he experiences intense pain. He wakes up every morning with his hands covering his eyes, unable to see the words of an innocent child who needs urgent treatment.
With the shortage of medicines and medical care, children suffering in Gaza increases day by day. Adam was connected with one of our ophthalmologists who assessed, diagnosed and prescribed him with antibiotics and lubricant eyedrops. The medications were deposited to the patient by the Gxza Health pharmacy.

Mona
13 years old – Psychological distress
“I'm tired of displacement...”
This is how a message we received from a girl in Gaza began. She was displaced with her family to Deir al Balah, only to find themselves in a tent. Her father suffers from inflammatory arthritis with no available treatment. As winter approaches, their worn-out tent offers no protection from the rain. Despite all this, the girl holds onto her dreams and ambitions to complete her studies.
MHPSS & Medicine departments work hand in hand to ensure full telehealth services. Gxza Health team connected Mona with one of our psychotherapists for psychosocial support. And her father was connected with one of our rheumatologists for medical follow up.

Tasir
33 years old – Seizures
Taysir is a 33-year old man who suffered from frequent seizures after being unable to access his medications for five months. His life took a turning point when his father reached out to Gxza Health's telehealth platform.
Through a video call, Dr. Abdullah spoke with Taysir and his family, quickly recognizing the urgency of his condition. Working alongside neurologist Dr. Fatima, they developed a comprehensive treatment plan and ensured consistent access to necessary medications through the Gxza Health pharmacy.
Today, Taysir looks forward to a brighter future with improved health and the possibility of achieving his personal dreams. His story demonstrates how digital healthcare can effectively serve patients facing challenges in accessing traditional care.
